Mentoring changes lives.  Mentees build confidence, develop stronger interpersonal skills, set goals, and achieve higher standards.  If you are thinking of becoming a mentor, our mentor training program is an easy way to learn all about the mentoring process, the rewards, the challenges, and the profound  impact mentoring has on both the mentor and the “mentee”.

Due to popular demand, United Way of Northern New Jersey, Morris County is hosting a free mentor training class, consisting of four sessions. Please note, individuals must attend all sessions.

Mentor training will cover:
  • Roles and responsibilities of a successful mentor
  • How to help the mentored person set and achieve goals
  • The effect of values and diversity in mentoring relationships
  • Communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • How to select the mentoring opportunity that's right for you

All are welcome, but pre-registration is required.

To register, please email Shaunna Rubin or call 973.993.1160, x142.  Click here to visit the Mentor Training Center section of our website.
