Here's how to subscribe:

1. go to the township website home page:

2. click on the METS icon on the right-hand side

3. Fill out the online form and fill out the fields -- if you don't want alert system text messages coming to your cell phone, don't fill out the mobile phone info. If you do want alert system text messages, fill out mobile phone info then click on "click here to automatically generate address below" so the mobile phone email address is generated (most folks don't know what their mobile phone email address is).

4. once you've filled out info and submitted the form, click on "Login" at the bottom of the left-hand menu. That will take you to your account where you can subscribe for various alerts and newsletters.

Salvation Army

To volunteer with the Salvation Army and help with relief efforts for Hurricane Sandy please use the link below to complete their volunteer application form.

Anyone who wants to make a financial contribution, can direct it to The Salvation Army - noted Hurricane Sandy.  They are also taking donations of non-perishable food items, water, blankets, sleeping bags, flashlights, batteries.

United Way of Northern New Jersey

Considering the gas shortage, the United Way is advising residents to stay local and help neighbors in our communities by sharing a warm meal or an outlet to charge a cell phone. Or register with their Volunteer Link website here. You'll be invited to record your skills and interests so you can be alerted to suitable opportunities in your area as they arise.

For those wishing to make donations there is also the United Way Hurricane Sandy Recovery Fund. Financial donations are most efficient in bringing relief to those impacted. Cash can be used to meet specific needs of survivors while also rebuilding the local economy.

Please forward and share this message with community members that may need this information.
